This will be a short post.
Our flight got delayed on Monday day because of the frankenstorm (it did not hit DC too bad luckily) so we did not get in to our hotel in Amman until Thursday at 4am. We left Tuesday evening.
Since then I have been in orientation, drinking instant coffee, or sleeping (all taking place at the hotel). We did take a field trip to the citadel in Amman. It was absolutely beautiful because it is on a hill and you can see a lot of Amman and when the sun set, the city lights started to come on and you could hear the call to prayer from millions of different loudspeakers around the city. I will have to figure out how to post pictures on this thing, but that is for another day. Tomorrow, we will leave the hotel and travel to Madaba where we will stay with a host family for three months and begin our pre-service training.
Miss you already.
